This Privacy Policy explains how EV Market (“we”, “us”), operator of evmarket.am, processes information when you use our website, import calculator, blog, and partner intake form.
It is written for visitors in Armenia and abroad. We process personal data in line with the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Protection of Personal Data and, where it applies to you, equivalent principles under the EU/UK GDPR (lawfulness, purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity, and accountability).
This page is information, not legal advice. Calculator results are estimates of import cost. They are not a customs declaration, tax ruling, or official quota confirmation.
1. Who is responsible

If we appoint a separate legal entity as operator, we will update this policy with the registered name and address.
2. What this policy covers
It covers:
- browsing evmarket.am (including language versions hy, ru, en, ka);
- using the EV import calculator;
- submitting a partner application;
- cookies and similar storage on your device;
- security checks on forms.
It does not cover third-party websites we link to (for example auto.am listings, the Central Bank of Armenia, or UXCentury). Their own policies apply.
Staff administration of the site is an internal process and is not a public-facing data collection.
3. Data we collect
3.1 Information you give us
Partner application. If you send a request, we store the email you provide and, if you fill them in, company name, phone, city, role (dealer, importer, charging operator, or other), message, interface language, and the fact that you accepted this policy. We use this to contact you about a possible partnership (marketing, listings, forms, agreements, and related sales tools).
Calculator contact (optional). The calculator can store an email only if you provide one. The public form currently does not ask for email; if that field is used later, it is stored with the calculation only with analytics consent.
3.2 Calculator usage (analytics)
If you accept analytics cookies, a calculator run may be stored as an anonymous event. That record can include:
- inputs you entered (price in AMD/USD, production year, battery kWh, optional shipping, importer type — individual or company, quota and VAT-exemption flags, selected maker/model if any);
- the calculated breakdown and total;
- interface language, success/failure, browser user-agent, and HTTP referrer;
- an anonymous session identifier (
evm_sid).
We use this to see which models and price ranges people estimate, to improve the calculator, and to operate the service. We do not use it to build an advertising profile.
If you choose Necessary only, the calculator still works. We do not create that analytics record and we do not set the session cookie. Google Analytics still receives a cookie-free page count: no analytics cookie, no client id, no query string, and no advertising profile.
3.3 Technical and security data
To stop automated abuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile on the calculator, partner form, and admin login. For verification we may send your IP address and the Turnstile token to Cloudflare. Calculator events stored on our server include the visitor IP address. We do not use that IP for advertising.
Hosting and CDN access logs (Cloudflare and our hosting provider) may contain IP address, time, requested URL, and user-agent for security and reliability. Those logs are controlled by those providers under their terms.
3.4 Language and consent storage
We store your language preference so the site stays in Armenian, Russian, English, or Georgian. Cookie consent is saved in your browser (localStorage) so we remember Accept all, Necessary only, or your custom mix.

You can refuse analytics and still calculate. You can refuse the partner form; we then cannot contact you as a partner.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a cookie banner with Accept all, Necessary only, and Customize. A cookie-free visit count is always sent. The analytics cookie and the fuller visit record start only after you allow analytics.

We use Google Analytics for visit measurement. We do not run advertising pixels, social-network trackers, or ad-personalization cookies. Ads storage stays off.
You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time, or clear site data in your browser.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data.
We share data only with processors and tools needed to run EV Market:
- Google — Google Analytics visit measurement (cookie-free unless you allow analytics);
- Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, and Turnstile bot protection;
- Hetzner — hosting of our PostgreSQL database;
- Email delivery (Resend or SMTP, when configured) — partner-application alerts to our team;
- Telegram (when configured) — internal notice that a partner request arrived;
- Central Bank of Armenia — public USD/AMD rate used in the calculator (no personal data sent);
- UXCentury — product and engineering support under our instruction.
These parties may process data in the EEA, the United Kingdom, the United States, Armenia, or other countries where they operate. Where a transfer leaves Armenia or the EEA, we rely on the provider’s appropriate safeguards (for example Standard Contractual Clauses) and a need to operate the service.
We may disclose data if required by Armenian or other applicable law, or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of EV Market and our users.
7. How long we keep data
- Calculator analytics events: typically up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated, unless we must keep a record longer for security or dispute.
- Anonymous session cookie: up to 1 year, or until you reject analytics / clear cookies.
- Partner applications: for the partnership discussion and a reasonable archive afterwards (as a rule up to 36 months), or sooner if you ask us to erase them and no legal hold applies.
- Security logs: according to Cloudflare / hosting retention.
- Consent in your browser: until you change it.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, access-controlled administration, hashed staff passwords, bot checks on public forms, and a database that is not exposed as a public API. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Do not send payment-card numbers or passports through the partner form.
9. Your rights
Subject to Armenian law (and GDPR if it applies to you), you may:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- erase data, including a partner application, where the law allows;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent for analytics or for partner contact (withdrawal does not affect processing already done);
- receive a portable copy of data you provided, where that right applies;
- lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Republic of Armenia, or with your local supervisory authority if you are in the EEA/UK.
To exercise these rights, email [email protected] from the address we should search for, and describe the request. We may need to verify that we are talking to the right person.
10. Children
evmarket.am is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child submitted a partner form, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Automated decisions
The calculator applies published import-cost rules (quota, duty base for individuals vs companies, environmental fee, VAT). That is an estimate you asked for, not a decision that produces legal effects about you as a person. We do not use profiling for advertising.
12. Changes
We will update this page when our practices, tools, or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top is the current version. Material changes to cookies will also appear in the cookie banner.
